  • 🔒 Private peer-to-peer — the stream never touches our servers
  • ⚡ Set up in under a minute
  • 📱 Works between any two devices: phone, tablet or PC

How it works in 3 steps

1

Pick a device for the room

Open BabyMonitor on the device you'll leave near your baby and choose “Monitor”. Allow camera and microphone.

2

Pair the second device

On your own phone or computer choose “Viewer” and scan the QR code or type the 6-character code.

3

Watch, listen and relax

See and hear your baby live. Get instant alerts on crying or movement, talk back, play a lullaby or dim the screen for the night.

Everything a baby monitor should do

😢

Cry detection

The monitor listens and alerts you the moment sustained crying starts — with adjustable sensitivity.

🎥

Motion detection

Get notified when your baby moves or wakes, based on real-time video analysis on the monitor device.

🗣️

Talk-back & lullabies

Soothe your baby with your voice using push-to-talk, or play a gentle lullaby remotely.

🌙

Night mode

Dim the monitor's screen to near-black and switch the viewer to a low-light, battery-friendly dark theme.

Night mode is a low-light screen filter and dimming — it is not infrared and depends on ambient light in the room.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy a camera?

No. BabyMonitor turns two devices you already own — phones, tablets or computers — into a monitor and a viewer.

Is the video private?

Yes. Video and audio are sent directly between your two devices over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection. We only help the two devices find each other; the stream never passes through our servers.

Does it work between different networks?

In most cases yes. Some strict mobile networks may block the direct connection; if that happens, try both devices on the same Wi-Fi.

Will it keep working if the screen turns off?

Keep the monitor device plugged in with the app in the foreground. We keep the screen awake where supported, but phones may pause background tabs.

How does the free trial work?

You can watch live for a limited time for free. After the trial, a monthly subscription unlocks unlimited monitoring on the viewer device.
